Invitation of Bids for the reconstruction of Anandakuti Maha Vihar, Kathmandu
 
1.      The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Nepal invites sealed bids from the eligible bidders for the reconstruction of Anandakuti Maha Vihar ( Development Work)– Swayambhu,
 
Bidding is open to all eligible bidders and or their joint ventures. The documents should be forwarded under separate envelopes for the project.
(Sri Lankan Bidders can apply through local agents.)
 
2.      Only eligible bidders with the following key qualifications should participate in this bidding:

a.       Minimum Average Annual Construction Turnover during last 3 years: NRs. 80 Million
b.      Minimum work experience of similar size and nature: One (1) contract within the last five (5)    years with a value of at least (NRs. 40 Million)
c.       Cash Flow: NRs. 8.8 Million
 
3.      Government of Sri Lanka shall fund and implement the aforementioned project in respective site under the strict abidance to the prevailing heritage laws and regulations under the guidance and supervision of Ministry of Culture Tourism & Civil Aviation (MoCTCA) and Department of Archaeology (DoA) which is under the MoCTCA.
 
4.      Eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the Bidding Documents at the Embassy. The address is mentioned below.
A complete set of Bidding Documents could be obtained by the Bidders on submission of a written application, along with the copy of company/ firm registration certificate, and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of NRs. 5000/=  (NRs. Five Thousand only) in cash during office hours within 15 days.
 
5.      Pre-bid meeting shall be held at 14.00 hours on 06th July 2018 at the address given below.
All bidders are advised to visit the site prior to attending the pre-bid meeting.
 
6.      Sealed bids must be submitted to the office address given below by hand/ courier on or before 12.00 hours of 16th day of first publication of the notice. Bids received after this deadline will be rejected.
 
7.      The bids (technical proposal) will be opened in the presence of Bidders’ representatives at 14.00 hours on 12th July 2018 at the office address mentioned below. Bidders need to submit separate envelopes of financial and technical reports. 
 
8.      If the last day of purchasing and/ or submission falls on GoN/ GoSL official holiday, then the next working day shall be considered as the respective last date. In such case the validity period of the bid security shall remain the same as specified for the original last day of submission.
 
9.      Bid Security (Bank Guarantee) shall be NRs. 1.47 Million which should be from a commercial bank, operating in Nepal approved by the Nepal Rastra Bank and should be submitted along with bidding document. Bid security validity period shall be 120 days and that bank guarantee will be returned after the tender is awarded to the selected Contractor.
 
10.  Government of Sri Lanka / Embassy of Sri Lanka in Kathmandu will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by bidders in connection with the preparation and delivery of bids including the cost and expenses related to the visits to the sites.
 
11.  Government of Sri Lanka / Embassy of Sri Lanka in Kathmandu and the Government of Nepal, Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Department of Archaeology , Kathmandu reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bid(s) without assigning any reason, whatsoever:
