Adventure Race (AR) World Championship- 2019
03-13 December 2019, Sri Lanka
 
 

1.      Sri Lanka will be hosting the above World Championship from 03-13 December 2019. The Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau will be the focal government agency that would work with the main organizer, Geocentric Pty. Ltd, an Australia-based company that owns the international AR World Series brand and the Series itself.
 
2.      The AR World Championship-2019 is expected to bring together world's best endurance athletes in events such as teams trek, kayak, mountain biking etc. The annual Championship started in 2001, is being held in Asia for the first time. The High Commission of Sri Lanka in Canberra was instrumental in getting the opportunity for Sri Lanka to host this world event.
