On completion of tenure as the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Nepal, Ambassador Swarna Perera paid farewell calls on high level dignitaries of the Government of Nepal prior to her departure from Kathmandu.
 
H.E. the Ambassador paid a farewell call on Rt. Hon. Bidya Devi Bhandari, President of Nepal on 26th September 2019.  During the meeting, President Bhandari thanked Ambassador Perera for the cooperation she extended to strengthen bilateral relations in diverse fields.  
 
During the meetings with Rt. Hon. Nanda Bahadur Pun, Vice President, Rt. Hon. K.P. Sharma Oli, Prime Minister, Hon. Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Hon. Sher Bahadur Deuba, Leader of Opposition of Nepal, the leaders reviewed with satisfaction the bilateral exchanges that have taken place over the past few years.  Foreign Minister Gyawali commended her contribution towards further consolidating the bilateral ties between the two countries during her tenure in Nepal.
 
Also H.E. the Ambassador was felicitated by Nepal- Sri Lanka Chamber of Commerce, Anandakuti Viharaya, Dhammakeerthi Viharaya and a number of other institutions in Kathmandu.
