Legalization, Certification & Attestation of the documents issued by the Sri Lankan Government

For the purpose of legalization & certification of documents, applicants are required to submit the original documents authenticated by the Consular Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sri Lanka. (Photocopies/scanned or tampered documents will not be accepted)

Please note that the documents without the authentication of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will not be accepted for this purposes.
  1. Certified documents should be in duplicate
  2. The fee for authentication is NRs. 9,000/- (for Sri Lankan) for each document. 
  3. Fees should be paid by cash only 
 
Attestation of documents/Certificates issued by the Government of Nepal.
 
Any document issued by the Government of Nepal should be certified by the Consular Section of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nepal before submitted to this Embassy for attestation or legalization.

Notes:
* Submission of forged documents and making false declarations relating to citizenship is a punishable offence. Fees will not be refunded in these circumstances.
* Incomplete applications will be returned and consular fees will not be refunded.
