Product launch marking the business collaboration between Hema's Holdings Public Limited of Sri Lanka and Hajurlai Namaste Trade Link private Limited of Nepal.

Message from the Ambassador of Sri Lanka, Her Excellency Himalee Arunatilaka.

It is with immense pleasure that I send this message of felicitations and best wishes to this product launch marking the business collaboration between Hema's Holdings Public Limited of Sri Lanka and Hajurlai Namaste Trade Link private Limited of Nepal.

Sri Lanka and Nepal are two countries that are united by friendship and cultural affinity between their peoples dating back centuries. There are many things we share in common. The potential to leverage these age old links to nourish a healthy economic partnership benefiting both nations is immense. It is in this context that I warmly welcome the business collaboration between Hema's Holdings of Sri Lanka and Hajurlai Namaste of Nepal.

Hema's Holdings, started as a family business, has gone on to become one of the most respected and fastest growing conglomerates in Sri Lanka. A public listed company in the Colombo Stock Exchange, Hema's Holdings has been providing an award winning range of diversified products and services including high quality home and personal care products that are household favourites in Sri Lanka.

Kumarika, the oil and hair care range of products that is being launched in the Nepal market today, has been trusted by generations of Sri Lankan women. I have no doubt that Kumarika hair care products will please the discerning Nepali women and earn their loyalty, as much as they have pleased fellow Sri Lankan women.

The Nepali partner, Hajuralai Namaste, is a leading trading company and is the authorized dealer of GP and ITR brand lubricants in Nepal. The story of how this company was born, to become a leading business in Nepal is an inspiration for any entrepreneur. It is a story of hardship, endurance and perseverance ultimately resulting in achievement and success.

In a way, there are a number of similarities between these two companies. Both have started small; and through hard work and commitment, and especially through entrepreneurial acumen, expanded and developed to become the large scale businesses they are today.

The partnership between these two companies beginning with the launching of Kumarika products in Nepal, will no doubt lead to greater collaboration and more opportunities for both companies in time to come.

It is therefore my pleasure and privilege to wish the product launch event for Kumarika hair care products, the very best, and to also convey my warm congratulations to both companies and wish them success in their future collaborations and business partnership.

I would also like to assure that the Sri Lanka Embassy in Nepal is committed to enhance the economic cooperation between Nepali and Sri Lankan businesses and stands ready to offer any assistance in that regard.

THANK YOU.
